The School Feeding Project is implemented by Ajinomoto Vietnam Company in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and Training and the National Institute of Nutrition (Ministry of Health) and since 2017 has been implemented in boarding primary schools across the country. water with content to support the nutrition and health development of elementary school students, including: “Software to create nutritionally balanced menus”, Nutrition education program “Three minutes to change perceptions about food”. ” and “Partial kitchen model”.
To date, the project has been implemented in more than 4,300 boarding primary schools in provinces and cities across the country, providing nutritionally balanced meals and nutritional knowledge about food for more than 2.2 million children. million students.
Continue to widely deploy school nurturing projects across the country
To continue promoting the effectiveness of the School Meal Project, on December 30 and 31, 2024, the Ministry of Education and Training coordinated with Ajinomoto Vietnam Company to “Train on organizing food service on ships.” , ensuring food safety and proper nutrition.
At the training session, Mr. Nguyen Nho Huy – Deputy Director of the Department of Physical Education of the Ministry of Education and Training emphasized:“A very important factor in school meals is the organization of meals at school. We think this is important because it directly affects intelligence, physical and mental health. In addition, communicating about nutrition to students makes them aware and knowledgeable about healthy health. nutrition and even their parents know about it.
With the hope that more primary schools and students will benefit from the Project, the School Meals Project has expanded the users of the Balanced Menu Building software from the end of 2023.
Departments of education and primary schools where meals are provided are directed to continue to effectively apply the software “Synthesis of nutritionally balanced menus” under the School Meal Project according to Decision No. 11/ 2014/QD-TTg dated November 20, 2014 of the Ministry of Education and Training.
Schools implementing boarding kitchens as well as schools working with food suppliers will receive guidance on using software to develop nutritionally balanced meals as well as other tools and information to support good nutritional practices from the School Meals Project, contributing to the nutrition and health care of primary schools. students, thereby contributing to improving the nutritional and health status of future generations in Vietnam.
